HelloRail is an independent digital newsroom devoted entirely to Indian Railways — the world's fourth-largest rail network and the daily lifeline for more than 2 crore passengers. We cover train operations, new line development, Vande Bharat and bullet train projects, safety and accident reporting, railway market and business news, and the human stories that run alongside the tracks.
Our desk tracks announcements from the Ministry of Railways, the Railway Board, zonal railways, and RVNL/DFCCIL project updates, and translates them into clear, accurate reporting for everyday passengers, railway employees, enthusiasts, and investors. We publish:
We verify claims against official sources — Ministry of Railways press releases, PIB, zonal railway notices, and NTES/enquiry data — before publishing, and we correct errors openly (see our Corrections & Clarifications Policy). HelloRail does not run political commentary; our brief is the railway, not the politics around it, though we do report on policy decisions that affect passengers and the network.
HelloRail was founded by Lov Singh, who has worked in digital journalism, advertising, internet infrastructure, and content creation since 2014. A long-standing interest in the railway sector led to HelloRail being set up as a dedicated, reliable resource on Indian Railways rather than a general news site that covers rail occasionally.
The newsroom is edited and published from Patna, Bihar. Alongside our own reporting, we believe in the value of stories from the people who actually use the network — passengers, railway staff, and enthusiasts — because the railway is as much a social institution in India as it is a transport system.
